Baptism

“Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” John 3:5

Baptism is one of the seven sacraments of the Armenian Church. A Sacrament is a rite which not only signifies some specific grace, but which produces that grace in the souls of the person to whom it is administered.

What is grace? It is that which makes us fulfill our mission as children of God. It is a power that comes from God and regenerates and nourishes. It is the energy that feeds the growth of the believing spirit of people.

Birth id necessary to begin a life; baptism is necessary so that the child can start a “new life” as a child of God. It is through baptism that a new Christian is brought into the life of the Church and the hope of salvation.

Baptisms in our Church are not celebrated during Lent. You will need to contact the Parish Office at least two months in advance for bookings and check the exact dates and availability before making family arrangements.

If you require additional information about the process and the Holy Sacrament of Baptism at our Church, please contact the Parish Office or download our baptism application form.
