Armenian Community Welfare Centre
Armenian Community Welfare Centre
The Armenian Community Welfare Centre operates from the premises of the Church of Holy Resurrection. The Centre has since expanded its services and established the Western Sydney Branch to meet the changing needs of the community of the Western Sydney region.
The Friday seniors’ gatherings in the church hall have been extremely successful. The elderly gather for a prayer followed by lunch and exercises, bingo game and general activities. Bus trips, picnics, short distance pilgrimages and many other activities have been organised for this group. The participants are eagerly waiting for the restrictions to be lifted in order for them to get back to their Friday gatherings. On Tuesdays, playgroup gatherings have been organised for young mothers and their children. It is still in its early stages, and we will advertise once the restrictions are lifted to increase the numbers.
The ACWC West branch office is located at Holy Trinity Church in Wentworthville and provides a number of services to assist with the welfare needs of members of the Western Sydney Armenian community. Please contact the Church Office for more details on services provided by ACWC West.
